ROD, also known as POP or passing out parade, is an annual event that involves the entire unit. It is of significance, especially to the Secondary 4 Cadet Leaders (CLs), as is signifies the handing over of their duties and responsibilities to the upcoming batch of Secondary 3 CLs. It was a day filled with mixed emotions, where sadness and happiness are fused together.

This parade also introduces something new to the new batch of Secondary 1 cadets. Additionally, it also meant that the Secondary 2 cadets are now stepping up to become seniors in the unit.

After the parade, there was an appreciation ceremony. During the appreciation ceremony, a video montage, consisting of the Secondary 4 CLs journey in NPCC, was played. The various squads also gave their appreciation speech and presented token of appreciation to the Secondary 4 CLs. Lastly, it was the plaque presentation where plaques were presented to the Secondary 4 CLs to recognize their hard work in NPCC.

To the Graduating Batch of 2018, thank you for your contributions and we wish you all the best in your upcoming examinations!

SGT (NPCC) Ethan Wong
