The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) Inter Unit Drill competition is organised for all NPCC units annually. It aims to assess cadets’ proficiency in drills. One of the judging criteria is to execute all the 16 compulsory drills listed within 5 minutes.

This year, AMKSS NPCC Drill Competition squad was led by one of our Secondary 4 cadet, Station Inspector (NPCC) Andrew Fong.

“Although I have stepped down from the CCA, I am still coming back to help out with events such as the recent drill competition. Initially, I faced some difficulties like communication with the squad and having to shout the commands loud and clear. Although the trainings were tedious and tiring, the squad persevered through the trainings. One thing I am proud of is the improvement of the squad’s standard. This wouldn't be possible without everyone's effort. On the day of the competition, everyone were nervous and stressed. But at the end of the day, we managed to complete the competition and ended in the 68th position.

After all these trainings, I learnt that leading a big squad is not easy but with perseverance and the will to do it, anything can happen. Thus, I enjoy the moments that I have spent with the squad.”

- Station Inspector (NPCC) Andrew Fong

Well done cadets for persevering through the trainings! No matter what the results are, the teachers and officers are proud of all of you. Keep up the good work!
