On 1 June 2016, 13 of our NPCC cadets went to Police Coast Guard (PCG) Brani base to learn about the men in blue keeping Singapore’s territorial waters safe for all. They were introduced to the history of the PCG, their operational capabilities, their current of ships used in patrol and some of their collaborations with different country’s navy and coast guard. They even got to board the patrol boat, like Tiger Shark (PH 54). Not only that, out cadets also got the opportunity to get onto the boat’s operational deck, where the navigating equipment were located and also have theirs hands on the simulation facilities for gun fights! It was an eye-opening experience for our cadets where they not only get to see and hear new stuff but also they get to experience it hands-on!
